We hope that you and your families are staying safe and healthy. Listed below are some updates and news of how we plan to open the Fall 2022 Semester. We are committed to following the guidelines of SIU, the State of Illinois and the CDC.

Shabbos

Shabbos is a mainstay of keeping our community together. Shabbos dinners will be taking place following the latest health guidelines.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or are awaiting test results, please request a Shabbos-to-go kit. Otherwise you're more than welcome to join our Shabbos table.

Jewish Holidays & Events

The Fall semester includes a number of Holidays:

The High Holidays: Rosh Hashana & Yom Kippur

Sukkot

Simchat Torah

Chanukah

We're planning appropriate celebrations for all of these, as well as other social and learning opportunities.

Communication

In order to stay in the loop of all the happenings at Chabad of SIU this semester, whether you are in town or attending SIU virtually, we ask all students to fill out this form. This will enable us to organize packages to be sent in the mail or dropped off at your dorm.
